I just moved to Colorado Springs and have a brand-new sodded lawn. Obviously, I wanted to make sure I cared for it properly. My research found that the basic steps are: you water the heck out of it the first two weeks; dry it out and mow; cut back the watering the third week; and cut back again during the forth week. Of course, there’s a lot more to the process, so I put together a detailed document based on information I found. I thought others may benefit from it, so I’m posting it here. Lawn Care in Colorado
Well, it’s been a while since my last post…been busy relocating to Colorado Springs! Took a short trip right after the move to LA to be with my daughter, Taylor. She was out there to help with the Spartan Race in Big Bear, conveniently, right near my home in Lake Arrowhead. I was totally unprepared mentally and camera gear-wise, but managed to get a few decent shots of the athletes. There were some low clouds which resulted in some spectacular views of the mountains peaking through along Hwy 18. Didn’t have my wide-angle lens, so I had to make do with what I had. Taylor and I drove down the mountain and visited with my Mom and Dad as well. Fun trip, but way too short!
