I am totally on board with this concept! I’m sure I’ll find other uses, but I can see this being incredibly useful with fine-tuning Adobe Lightroom parameter adjustments which is problematic using a mouse. The $180US price tag is a bit steep and the estimated shipping isn’t until August 2016, but I’ll be watching this product closely.
I’ve always been pretty obsessive about backing up my computer data. I firmly believe it’s not a question if your hard drive will die, but when it will die. Moreover, I’ve also always believed that in addition to a local backup, you also need an off-site copy as well. I’ve used just about every backup medium known to man: floppy disks, tapes, Syquest cartridges, Zipdisks, CDs, DVDs, hard drives, portable drives, etc. After all these years, I think I’ve finally found the perfect backup strategy. When I bit the bullet and signed up for Microsoft’s Office 365, I was excited that I got a whopping 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. I immediately stopped using my puny 5GB of free Dropbox space and switched. Well, after testing OneDrive for almost a year, I’ve finally had enough and am switching back to Dropbox for my everyday files. Read more
